Join Miss Burlesque Australia 2019 & 3x Burlesque Hall of Fame performer Miss Bettie Bombshell each Sunday at 1pm, across 4 weeks in May!
Have the audience eating out of the palm of your hand with new tricks and tips for on & off the stage. Learn to harness your power like the best in the business, how to bust out those exciting floor sequences, 1920’s charleston’s, high kicks and show stopping facial expressions! It’s not all glove peels & step ball changes after all. YOU BETTER WORK BITCH!

10th May – Stage face 101 – Character, expression & interpretation for burlesque
17th May – Beginner burlesque with Bettie Bombshell
24th May – Learn to Fosse & All That Jazz – Bob Fosse inspired choreography!
31st May – 1920s Charleston – Dapper flappers
Stage Make-up 3 week course with Ruby Slippers!
This course is designed for people new to stage makeup and wanting to expand their skill set to create dynamic stage looks that pack a punch! Over three weeks we’ll look at the basics of creating a strong base by sculpting the face, opening up the eyes, plus playing with colour and sparkle to make it pop!
WEEK 1: LAYING THE BASE
We’ll use full coverage foundations, concealers and contours to sculpt the face, then look at how to set and build that base using powders, blush and highlighter. We’ll finish with a basic brow shape!
WEEK 2: BIG EYES
We’ll look at some techniques to open up the eye area for stage to add expression and drama, including brow coverage, priming the eyelid, liner application and cut creases.
WEEK 3: FINISHING IT OFF!
Come with your brows blocked and re-drawn, and base (foundation, contour and highlight) all set in place. We’ll build up a dramatic eye shape with glitter and lashes, talk about rhinestone placement, and finish the face with blush, shimmer and lips!
All classes are 1 hour each over 3 weeks on Saturdays.

Quarantease: The Music Video! Brand New online 6 week dance course
Introducing a brand new super fun 6 week dance course especially designed for this time we must stay in isolation! Suitable for all levels!
You will learn a fabulous themed routine, where your teacher will be focusing on technique and character to get your moves looking camera ready!
This specially curated routine is designed so that the choreography and additional scenes learnt can be performed solo in and around your own homes. At the end of the course you get to make your music video debut, you will be required (if you choose) to film yourself performing around the home and your clip along with your fellow students will be edited to make one great big music video extravaganza!
Get ready to be a music video star! The video will be shown as part of our Sugar Blue Burlesque online grad show!
