Imogen Kelly to headline Sugar Blue Burlesque show Deep Blue Tease at The Royale Theatre, Planet Royale
Sugar Blue Burlesque has announced Australian burlesque queen Imogen Kelly as the headline act for its under the sea-inspired show Deep Blue Tease.
Hosted by Sugar Du Joure, the two-hour performance at The Royale Theatre on May 7 will feature a line-up of oceanic-themed burlesque, drag, circus, dance and comedy acts.
Sugar Blue Burlesque director Melanie Piantoni, aka A’dora Derriere, says she is thrilled to have Cairns-based Kelly in Perth for the show.
“Imogen Kelly will be performing her world-famous act The Reef, which she performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra,” Piantoni shares.
“Imogen created the act in response to climate change and (it) is designed to reflect the diversity of creatures living in the Great Barrier Reef.”
Deep Blue Tease was developed as a touring show as part of the Red Earth Arts Festival in Karratha and will also feature performances by cast members Amelia Kisses, Danisa Snake, Karl Kayoss, Kitty Littéur, Lucy Lovegun and SodaLicious.
