Wowed by the Wau Waus
One of the very best things about being part of Fringe World is getting to see all the AMAZING artists that are here. Last night I took myself the see the Wau Wau Sisters in their sold out show “The Last Supper”. I’d heard they were amazing but I went in not sure what to expect.
I can tell you right now to expect EVERYTHING! They were incredible! I don’t even know how to describe it! Burlesque/circus/vaudeville/comedy/blasphemy and a bit of whorish frivolity thrown in for fun. WARNING: this show is not for the faint of heart. There is a healthy dose of sexual innuendo, take thy lord’s name in vain and a whole lot of wine bathing nudity. I could not have loved it more. They were so funny! I was in stitches! And the skill they displayed! It was beyond believable. Amazing balances and trapeze. It was the very best I have ever seen.
Unfortunately, the show is completely sold out and finishes it’s run tonight. But so you don’t feel completely left out, here is little snippet of them performing on Sideshow a few years ago. Enjoy!
